Growth Conditions of Global Terrestrial Vegetation

In supporting global change studies and international cooperation in Earth Observation System of Systems ( GEOSS ), the National Remote Sensing Center of China ( NRSCC ), Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China integrated a series of products from National High-tech Research and Development Program ( 863 Program ) to carry out global ecosystem remote sensing annual reports.
As a part of 2013 Annual Report, Growth Conditions of Global Terrestrial Vegetation is focused on identifying the ecological and environmental situation of terrestrial vegetation globally by using China's Global LAnd Surface Satellites ( GLASS ) Leaf Area Index ( LAI ) data product, which is developed by a joint team from Beijing Normal University. It can help research on issues such as global food security, forest and grassland management, and ecological evaluation, planning, construction and management of large and medium-sized cities all over the world. The data and report are published at the website of National Integrated Earth Observation Data Sharing Platform ( old.chinageoss.cn../../../ ).
